Suitable For Novices
Yes - the half marathon course is relatively flat, but does have some small climbs, total elevation gain of 190m (9m/km). The new 10km route is also relatively flat, but slightly more hilly than the half marathon, with 130m total elevation gain (13m/km). Parking available at HQ
Due to only some of the course being on closed roads, there is parking available at Race HQ, Ludlow Rugby Club, Linney, SY8 1EE. We ask that all athletes arrive for all race distances from the westerly direction, using Dinham Bridge and The Linney, thereby avoiding the Corve Street approach (this will be closed form 0730).
Access from Dinham Bridge will be closed at 0845, so all 10k and 5k athletes will need to arrive in good time. There are also three additional car parks in the centre of Ludlow at Upper Galdeford (town library), Lower Galdeford (Smithfield), and Castle Street. They operate on a pay-and-display basis.
Please see Getting Here page for additional parking info and map of preferred arrival route.
